 About Barbara DeWitt Duffy
Barbara’s artwork strives to impart her vision and impression of the subject that lies between realism and abstraction. Each of her three methods of water media artwork convey a unique representation of color, design and style.
Gallery I - Her design of patterns and transitions of gouache over acrylic gesso creates a playful expression.
Gallery II - Her application technique of layering and deleting acrylic paint, creates texture, depth and intensity of color.
Gallery III - Her watercolor/white gouache paintings create vibrant reflective color and soft edges with soft simple impressions.
Barbara is a signature member of the Minnesota Watercolor Society. She is also a member of Northstar Watercolor Society, Artist del Norte, Minnetonka Center for the Arts and White Bear Center for the Arts and associate member of Gallery 135. Her paintings are shown in several regional shows/events and have been chosen for local/national juried competitions.
